Terms of service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Please note. We are not currently taking orders through this website. Services are arranged by email, and the terms that apply to your order — including price, plan limits and billing period — are confirmed with you in writing before anything starts.
1. Who we are
These terms govern the supply of hosting, domain registration and email services by TKJ Global Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 08272919, trading as TKJ Web Host (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them.
2. The service
We supply shared hosting, domain registration and email on the platform of our upstream infrastructure partner. We are responsible to you for the service; our partner’s own terms and acceptable use rules also apply to what may be hosted, and we will pass on any requirement they impose.
Service levels, resource limits and included features are those described on the plan you buy at the time you buy it.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep them current — domain registries require this, and inaccurate registrant data can lead to suspension.
- You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity on your account.
- You are responsible for the content you host and for having the right to publish it.
4. Charges and renewal
Prices are as shown at checkout and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Services renew automatically for successive terms at our then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. Where the renewal price differs from what you last paid, we will tell you before the renewal is taken.
Domain registrations are billed a year at a time and are governed by the relevant registry’s rules, which we cannot vary. Registry price increases are passed through at cost.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a hosting service at any time from your control panel, effective at the end of the current billing term. Charges already paid for the current term are not refunded on cancellation unless we say otherwise in writing or the law requires it.
Domains. Once a domain is registered or renewed the registry fee is spent and cannot be recovered, so domain charges are not refundable.
Consumer cancellation rights. If you are a consumer you have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. Where you ask us to begin the service immediately you may be required to pay for what has been supplied up to cancellation, and the right is lost for a domain registration once it has been completed at your express request. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other law that cannot be excluded.
6. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is subject to our acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms. We may suspend a service without notice where it is necessary to protect the platform, other customers, or to comply with a legal obligation — and we will tell you why as soon as we reasonably can.
7. Backups
Backups and restore points are provided as a convenience and the retention available depends on your plan. They are not a substitute for your own backups, we do not warrant that any particular restore point will be available, and you should keep an independent copy of anything you could not afford to lose.
8. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be notified in advance wherever practicable. We are not liable for downtime caused by your own code, plugins or configuration, or by matters outside our reasonable control.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and where you contract with us as a business, our total liability arising out of the contract is limited to the charges you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business interruption.
10. Ending the contract
You may cancel at any time from your control panel, effective at the end of the current billing term. We may terminate for material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of notice, or immediately where the breach cannot be remedied or involves unlawful content. On termination you may take a copy of your data for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
11. Data protection
Each party will comply with UK data protection law. Where we process personal data contained in your hosted content, we do so as your processor and on your instructions; our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data for which we are the controller. A separate written processing agreement is available on request.
12. Changes
We may change these terms on 30 days’ notice. If a change materially disadvantages you, you may cancel before it takes effect and receive a pro rata refund of any prepaid, unused period.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
